Caen - St. Etienne Cavaillé Coll
|
Software: | Hauptwerk IV |
Genre: | Baroque |
Description: | This week I decided to rebuild my organ console. It was too wobbly and nothing felt right. It was a stretch to reach the manuals, which felt too high. My knees kept banging on the underside so I couldn't play the pedals properly. Enough was enough - I was fed up with hitting duff notes or slipping off keys, or struggling to move one finger over the other. The results are much better, everything feels more natural now.
Oh yes, and there is a piece to go with this rant....
Caen is far more reed heavy then the version I uploaded earlier this week on the Rieger-Esztergom organ, which is far more mixture based. Check it out here: http://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/23069
Hope you enjoy.
