Description:
This guy is new to me. However, the price for his organ books was cheap enough on Amazon so I thought why not? They are described as being a collection of easy pieces - they can be played on manuals or with pedals. We've all been in situations where we need some music fast that sounds good and is sight readable. Well this books seems to fit the bill.

Three pieces here from near the end of the book.

1. 55. Cantilene
2. 57. Song
3. 59 Child's Dream

The Cantilene has flutes in the left hand providing a held chord with alternating notes. Against this plays the Krummhorn and Spitzquinte with a melody.

'Song' is a beautiful piece alternating between the Great and Swell, providing contrasts of soft flutes and imposing foundations.

Child's Dream is a calm and simple piece but is very effective at conveying a dream like state. It really is a lovely piece and my favourite out of the three. Following it in the book is the final piece, a toccata - but we'll get to that later down the line! There are only about a few pieces from the book left to upload now, including a Prelude and Fugue, the Toccata and a few other pieces of note.

Flor Peeters (1903 - 1986) was a Belgian organist, composer and teacher. To read more about him visit http://www.bach-cantatas.com/Lib/Peeters-Flor.htm.

Hope you enjoy.
