When I realized that my "older" YouTube upload of this piece received quite a number of hits, I decided to give it a second try on the Sauer.
Although the current, official anthem consists of only two verses, the uploaded version consists of five: In my opinion, it should be the decision of the listener, what to use of the additional three verses for -- one may want to add the historical poem of Michael Öchsner, or recitalists might want to have additional instrumental verses for the intro and/or outro.
For those who own a 7.1 surround system, an 8-channel FLAC file can be picked up here to get an impression of what it will sound like in my living room:

- Player: Current versions of Media Player Classic are able to properly play multi-channel FLAC files.
