Description: | There are 4 pieces, successively :
- dialogue sur la trompette (Couvents, Kyrie) : a kind of a playful "trumpet tune"
- at 2' : plain chant (Paroisses, Kyrie) : a typical hieratic plein jeu with the chant of the Kyrie "en taille" on the pedal reeds 8 and 4
- at 3' : chromhorne sur la taille (eg ténor) (Couvents, Gloria) : a lyrical and meditative piece
- at 6'15 : dialogue sur les grands jeux (Paroisses, Agnus) : a kind of a joyous canzona, much lesser known than the famous "offertoire sur les grands jeux". It's a deliberate choice not to use inequality in this piece, because of its (IMHO) somewhat italian flavor . |
