The Dakini Mandarava is one of the five principal consorts of Guru Rinpoche. Together they accomplished the siddhi of long-life in the Maratika cave in Nepal and attained the level of a Vidyadhara with power over life.
In the Gardens of Mandara there are numerous divine flowers, lakes, mountain streams, meditation caves, singing birds and roaring animals. Eventually, a thunderstorm with violent winds comes up, yet there is nothing that can disturb the enlightened mind.
This composition, inspired by Hindi folk song and Raga scales, depicts this atmosphere. I hope it will inspire you and that you will enjoy playing it. It is technically advanced, yet not that difficult.
The score is made available as a free PDF download here below. I tried this time to make the score more readable by condensing it to the usual 3 lines. Please inform me if you play my work in public.
