Description:
The second setting of Pange Lingua is a fugue with two voices on the Cornet (Grand'Organo Fiffaro 8' + Ottava 4' + Sesquialtera II), two voices on the Cromorne (here the Espressivo Tromba Picola 8' is pressed into service), and one voice on the pedal flutes (Subbasso 16' + Tapato 8'). It is filled with the characteristic trills, upward resolving appogiaturas, Notes Inégales, and a certain amount of awe at the story being told.
