Description:	This is Richard Elliott's arrangement of the song "Battle Cry of Freedom" which was written by George Frederick Root during the American Civil War. Although originally a Union patriotic song, it was adopted by the Confederacy with new lyrics. Richard Elliott played this arrangement for the broadcast of "Music and the Spoken Word" on July 4th, 2010.
