I think perhaps Simon Preston had the English Romantic sound in mind for this piece (it calls for the tuba in the final bars). On the other hand, it's sometimes described as being inspired by Messiaen. Anyhow, it works quite well on the PAB organ: I draw the chamades at the very end in place of the tuba :)

The recording is live, but with a few edits here and there - I don't play it quite this well in reality!
