Description:
A beautiful wartime ballad with music by Haydn Wood from 1916. I was reminded of this piece by a recent visit to the cinema to see Spielberg's film "Warhorse" - where it was rather curiously played 2 years before it was written :-)

Many aspects of the instrument are explored, from the Style D trumpet and Harmonic flute, through the new tibias to the gorgeous Kimball strings.
