Präludium zum Kyrie aus 1. Orgelmesse C-Dur

Theodor Grünberger (1756–1820) was a South German composer, Augustinian monk and priest.
He composed six "organ masses", that means purely instrumental music for church services, without vocal parts.
This prelude serves as the Kyrie for his first organ mass in C major.
The piece has a rustic, folk-like character and is therefore well-suited as a prelude for harvest thanksgiving festivals.

Could there be a better instrument for South German organ music of the period around 1800 than the perhaps finest South German organ of all, the magnificent Trinity Organ in the Ottobeuren Abbey Basilica ?
