Fantasy on "I Sing the Mighty Power of God"

Written to showcase the immense tonal resources of the newly released Ingolstadt IV/70 Klais composite for GrandOrgue, this fantasy is built around a powerful motif derived from the opening notes of the hymn tune ELLACOMBE.

The work presents the hymn in three contrasting sections. A bold opening statement gives way to a more lyrical middle section featuring flowing triplet accompaniment and a solo melody on the Trumpet and Cornet. The music then builds toward a massive final presentation of the hymn, culminating in a triumphant full-organ conclusion.

Designed to display both the expressive and monumental qualities of this remarkable instrument, the fantasy celebrates the enduring strength and majesty of I Sing the Mighty Power of God.
