| Description: | This is the second recording of the final variation of Hielscher's suite. I did the first recording on the Eule in Mercator Hall, also by Pipeloops ( https://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/64008). A third recording is played on the Link/Gaida in Pauluskirche Ulm ( https://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/64123).
This version is played on the brand new Mühleisen set from Stiftskirche. The percussion and toy stops make it a natural choice imho.
Which organ should I use for recording the full variations? Please let me know your view.
Also, I am still experimenting with the settings. Compared to the factory settings, I used a dent more of the direct and mid-range perspectives and reduced the rear. It's an ashdoundlingly "reverby" set, even though the church tends towards the dry side.
The usual disclaimer applies: I am not a pro, bear with my mistakes please. |
