William Russell (1777-1813) was organist of St. Ann's, Limehouse and the Foundling Hospital in London. He was also pianist to the Sadlers Wells Theatre. His two sets of "Twelve Voluntaries", published in 1804 and 1812, are relatively adventurous for their genre and include some of the earliest independent pedal parts by an English composer.
