| Description: | Arthur Wills was Organist of Ely Cathedral for 32 years and his Carillon on “Orientis Partibus” is a thrilling, jangling toccata with French influence, but still sounds, unmistakably, Wills. Published in Volume 3 of "The Bristol Collection" edited by Lee Hastings Bristol Jr. (published in the USA by Harold Flammer), it is as much fun to play as it is to listen. The excitement generated by the cross rhythms lend to the jangly, occasionally jazzy feel.
The tune “Orientis Partibus” is often associated with the words Christ The Lord is Risen Again making it both liturgically appropriate and a thrilling welcome to this fantastic sample set, launched today: https://www.pipeloops.com//product_info.php?products_id=73
