On the anniversary of Edward Elgar's death today, you are hearing one of his most famous pieces. It premiered in 1901, and King Edward VII. subsequently requested the Trio (middle section) for his coronation in 1902. Elgar then incorporated it into his Coronation Ode. The text "Land of Hope and Glory" was specifically written to fit the existing melody.
The organ in my opinion fits perfectly on this kind of music. To get some cathedral feeling I'm using this set with some IR.
Warmest greetings to all our British friends here at CBCH.
