Although I normally hesitate to upload very well-known works that are already represented here by many excellent recordings, I could not resist choosing a particularly famous and frequently played piece for my 50th post—one of my absolute favourite organ works: Prelude and Fugue in C major, BWV 547, by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750).
As this work has not yet been presented on Contrebombarde using the sample set of the magnificent Holzhey organ, my recording may at least add something new in this respect.
