This 27th part of the collection is one of my favorite. I just know that the composer, Emmanuel Comboul, was organist in Tarbes. He composed a lot of piano music and wrote a lot for newspapers.

I realize that only three volumes of the collection remain to be recorded, and that I will undoubtedly have completed a premiere with all these forgotten pieces. I can now say that I have learned a great deal about the 19th-century organ by working on these 30 booklets. They constitute a good guide through the intricacies of this literature, often criticized by contemporary musicians (too academic for my taste and seriously lacking in intellectual curiosity and knowledge)..
The whole collection represents about fifteen hours of listening and a little more of working.
