First I wish all of you a Happy New Year, healthy and with a lot of music that you friendly share with others enthusiasts.
Some weeks ago I was captivated by the organ recordings of the Maarschalkerweerd organ of the St. John church in Oosterhout built in 1890 and published by Sygsoft. I decided to play and record some belgian music on this romantic organ and found in "Les Archives de l'organiste" (April 1904) published by Henri Delépine a lot of music. A perfectly unknown composer caught my attention : A van den Eynde, who was organist in Aerschot in Belgium, not far from Leuven. Is he the same as Alphonse van den Eynde, belgian architect (1884-1951) who built churches, chapels and convents ?
It's not unforgettable music, but there are a few pleasant ideas here and there, and the sample desserves this music in a perfect way (imho). I used very different registrations to show the main possibilities of this organ. I use here original and extended version and I must say that extensions are well designed.
