Noël flamand

Jeanne Joulain a student of Dupré, organist of Saint-Maurice in Lille as well as Professor at the Conservatoires in Lille and Roubaix has written several works for organ (as well as transcribed a number of Cochereau's improvisations). This is her short Prelude on "Noël flamand"... it sounds to me very like a written-out improvisation. There are about 5-6 variations on the theme, subjected to all kinds of creativity and contrapuntal wizardry.

It certainly shows off the colors of the big Rieger!
