I'm uploading this second version of the piece because I was disappointed in the high volume produced with the version done on the Laurenskerk Main Organ.
You will just have to lower the volume when listening to this recording.
This famous tune is taken from a cantata entitles "Heart and Mouth and Deed and Life" and was first performed on July 2, 1723. Notice that there are many shifts in fingers and repeated notes. This makes it easier to play the next phrase by having your hand in position before your fingers play the note.
I played this piece using just my right hand for the melody and the pedal for the bass. The pedal was coupled to a manual where I would normally be playing the base notes. This gave me the opportunity to start getting used to playing the pedal again.
