Sonate d-Moll op. 65, 6 Uploaded by: wolfram_syre Composer: Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Felix Organ: Krzeszow Organ by Michael Engler (1732-37) Software: Hauptwerk IV Views: 757
Well, what do we have here?
A children's fable with the wonderful title: A frog went for a walk ..... on a Sunday afternoon ..... just like now .... The melody of this delightful nursery rhyme is by a certain W. Sommer, but I couldn't find any further information.
The structure of the composition is as usual in my settings of songs from the Lahrer Kommersbuch.
Song movement for 4 voices, a trio and a fugue, in the course of which more and more registers are pulled out. The final part of the fugue and the obligatory repetition of the song movement are played by all voices on the small but incredibly beautiful Mascioni organ at Azzio!
