Description: | Have to say, as you can hear, Orgtq 2 is extremely good when making sounds - Organteq 2 has done a marvelous job with this piece. It took me time to get it right, but it was a nice feeling when ready. To combine and modify the right stops. Love the sound for the atmosphere of old wedding.
When I did this (2021), now with Orgtq 2, I wanted to try some "new".... We all react different to the same music and I think it's good that music can affect us in some way. So, a little adventure/surprise at the end, ”pro rock”
I tried to get a registration that sounds ”old fiddlers and such….” but with the rock guitar at the end…. Inspired by Kebnekajse band’s version, with guitars. Piece with them released 10.03 1975. Band still playing !(Google)
Description
A wedding march from Leksand, Sweden. This Swedish folktune became a hit in the '70s as played by the folk rock group ”Kebnekajse”, as far as I know still exist (2025 Wikipedia).
There is a live video on YT from 8.06 2024 where they are playing. The band Kebnekajse started 1971! 54 years playing !
In the peasant society, the fiddler was seldom allowed to play in the church. The bridal marches were therefore mostly used when the wedding party marched to the church, and from the church to the courtyard, where the wedding party was held. Then the music was performed by the fiddlers.
All the best, everyone
