Deux Chorals - 1. L'Annunciation

Joseph Reveyron was born in Lyons on September 2nd, 1917, He studed organ, harmony and counterpoint with Eduoard Commette (1883-1967). Having held the post of organist at Notre-Dame de la Mulatière, he was appointed Commette's assistant at the Primatiale Saint-Jean in Lyons in 1954. When his teacher died, he became his successor as "titulaire".

For the Feast of the Annunciation (a couple of days late, I know!) here is the first of his Deux Chorals, "L'Annunciation". I really feel like it captures the spirit of awe and wonder...
