Description: | More than 8 years ago, I published a chorale prelude by Heinrich Michael Keller, stating that it was the only known chorale prelude by his hand that survived to the present day (see the post here: https://partitura.org/index.php/h-m-keller-gelobet-seist-du-jesu-christ). That turns out not to be true. Manuscript Mus U 298, owned by the Stadtbibliothek Lübeck, contains a prelude on the melody of "Allein Gott in der Höh sei Ehr", of which the composer is given with the initials "H. M. K.". Those initials possibly/probably/likely mean the composer is Heinrich Michael Keller.
It is a lively piece, with the chorale melody in the soprano voice, while the other two voices play an accompaniment, based on motives from the chorale melody. A well written piece, that makes one wish there were more organ compositions of Keller available.
