| Description: | Georgi Alexandrowitsch Muschel studied piano at the Moscow Conservatory from 1930 to 1936 with Lev Oborin and composition with Anatoly Alexandrov, Nikolai Myaskovsky and Mikhail Gnessin. He then moved to Tashkent, where he taught at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, founded in 1936. He was one of the pioneers of classical music in Uzbekistan.
He composed 3 works for the stage, 4 ballets, 3 symphonies, 19 other works for symphony orchestras, 8 instrumental concertos for orchestras, including 7 for piano and one for violin, 31 musical works for piano ensemble, 7 works for organ, 34 pieces of instrumental chamber music, 14 works for piano ensemble, 15 vocal works, 3 choral works, 3 film music and 6 pieces of entertainment music.
