Description:	Gustav Adolf Merkel (1827-1885) was a German organist, composer and music teacher. He worked all his life in Dresden, where he became organist at the Kreuzkirche and later at the Hofkirche. He was known as a virtuoso organist. His organ compositions were among the most frequently played works in the second half of the 19th century. The score can be found on IMSLP.
