Patricia Lou Harris (1939–2021) — Voluntary on “Forest Green” (2017) for organ

Patricia Lou Harris (1939–2021) was born in Oklahoma and grew up there and in California. She earned degrees in music from Fresno State University and the University of Oregon. She studied organ primarily with David P. Dahl of Pacific Lutheran University. Harris was active as a school music teacher in Oregon and Washington, gave piano lessons at home, and was a church organist. As a composer, Harris wrote a great deal of educational music for children as well as organ pieces, many of which were published by the Lorenz Corporation. Harris and her youngest daughter Teresa Finck co-wrote and recorded several children's song albums entitled the Galliump! Music Series.
