| Description: | A nice and rather unusual piece by Johann Krieger (1652-1735), who was organist in Zittau.
The piece contains 3 parts:
- ( 00:00) Durezza - it means harshness, with dissonance - a majestic introduction played with full plenum on Werck and Oberposidiff
- ( 01:54) Praeludium - a light intermezzo, played on the Rückpositiff with high pitched foundation stops and Vogelgeschrei and Zimbelstern
- ( 02:52) Fuga (Thema) - an extended fugue, building up dynamically towards a grand finale.
Played on sample set of the beautiful Stellwagen organ (1655-1659) at Stralsund.
Enjoy!
