I came across this work only because it was advertised on one of the pieces by Marco Enrico Bossi that I was doing.

I have no information about or pictures of the composer, Guise de Moncey.

The piece was first published in 1898 as part of "l'Orgue Moderne," where it is included in "Livraison 12" (Book 12.)

It is dedicated to the famous Charles-Marie Widor (1844-1937).

I think that it's quite a nice piece, but there is just something "awkward" about it - or perhaps it's just me... :-)

The score is attached below, as well as photo of Charles-Marie Widor.
