Processional

This piece was uploaded first time more than a decade ago, so it's time to revive it!

This piece was composed in 2012 on the occasion of the wedding of the composer's daughter. The structure follows the common A-B-A scheme. The names of the bride and groom are indicated in the introductory fanfare in the pedal: A[nn]E[ke]E and BA[rt]. This is followed by a march, and in the quiet middle section the chorale “Liebster Jesu, wir sind hier” is performed and played around in the repetition by a piccolo part. The march melody is then repeated, but the piece takes an unexpected turn as Psalm 47 is heard as the final chorale.
