Composer and organist Sylke Feldhusen (b. 1962) was born and raised in North Germany. She began her education in church music at the age of 14 and held a part-time job as organist in her hometown for some years before pursuing further education at the Berliner Kirchenmusikschule where she took her final examinations in 1987. Shortly afterwards she began her career in Norway where she worked as an organist and choirmaster in Notodden. Feldhusen has composed music for organ, choir, and some trumpet pieces. Several volumes of her music have been published by Cantando Musikkforlag.
