Edouard Batiste - Offertoire Op. 27
On the virtual organ of St. Omer.

Here is my recording of what I think is the most stunning Offertoire by Batiste. I also include here for those interested a score video of a recording I made of this piece at a local Casavant.

In the recording on the virtual organ, I have followed the instructions of Batiste as close a possible, in the recording on the Casavant, while I have made certain adaptions, I have attempted to reproduce the same effect as one would have on a French organ of the time, particularly the use of Grand Choeur Sans Plein Jeu, per the tastes of the time.
