Overture to the Yeoman of the Guard

Considered by many to be Gilbert &Sullivan;'s finest work, it is certainly one of the most popular. In my younger days, I went to many G&S operettas usually performed by the D'Oyly Carte company. I have seen Yeoman many times but nothing quite beats seeing the opera performed at the Tower of London itself with the castle walls as a background. Scenery just doesn't come much better than that ! It was an unforgettable experience.
