Thomas Åberg was born in Stockholm 1952 and works there as composer and music administrator. Most of his works are written for the organ and are characterized by their rhythmical joy, simplicity and humor. His music has been performed by organists at festivals throughout Europe and also in Japan and the USA. He also tours regularly as concert organist with his own works.

"Angelic Meditation" dates from 2016 and was composed for voice and organ. In 2018 it was arranged as an organ solo by our member, Carson Cooman.
The work has the shimmer and flutter of what we might conceive of as the flight of angels, and the jewel-like beating of their wings.
It's a very pretty and happy work.
A photo of Thomas Åberg is attached below.
During the coming days, I will be uploading more of Åberg's music. These works vary greatly in style, dynamics and color, and will probably aid in expanding our minds as to what organ music can sound like. :-)
Tomorrow: "Children of the Heavenly Father."
