Phil Lehenbauer (b. 1960) — Christmas Bells (2023) for organ
American composer Phil Lehenbauer (b. 1960) was educated at Ohio State University in music education with an emphasis on trombone. For 30 years, he was a public school band director in Ohio where he led concert bands, marching bands, jazz bands, and small ensembles at all levels from elementary through high school. Lehenbauer began playing as a church organist in grade school and has continued church work in Florida, where he has been organist at Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church in Fort Lauderdale.
