Organ Partita "Nun komm' der Heiden Heiland" Op. 8/I

This recording contains excerpts from part II of the partita, which is the chorale with variations. I included the chorale theme, which is a piece by Baltasar Resinarius from the 16th century; variation 1, which is a bicinium; and the final variation, number 7.

This mostly extant organ for Hauptwerk has nearly the same disposition as the small St. Jakobi organ in Luebeck on which Hugo Distler played, enabling me to get a pretty authentic sound for these three movements.
