Welsh composer and organist Huw Morgan (b. 1975) was born in Newport, South Wales and educated at the University of Oxford (where he was organ scholar at St. Edmund Hall) and the Royal Academy of Music. Morgan’s compositions have featured at the South Bank Centre, the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, the Canterbury Festival, the Bergen International Organ Festival, at Canterbury Cathedral, on BBC Radio 3, and numerous CDs. As a choral director, he has held positions as director of the Ripieno Choir, the Hanover Choir, and the Merbecke Choir of Southwark Cathedral. He was the organist of St. Laurence Church, Catford for 10 years and has taught on the RSCM’s higher education program.
