Over time many romantic organ arrangement of some of Bach's most famous pieces have appear. For this video I recorded two pieces: the Sonatina from Cantata BWV 106 Actus Tragicus (Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit' and the Siciliano from Flute Sonata, BWV 1031. Although I'm used to play Bach in 'the right way', I liked to try something else regarding playing, tempi and registration choices.
In the arrangement of BWV 106 Guilmant mentions 'Molto adagio'.
The Link/Gaida organ, sampled by Pipeloops for Hauptwerk, has many many possibilities to colour. For both pieces I used a stop from the Solo division of this instrument, the Flauto mirabilis 8' and the Clarinet 8'.
