The first fantasia quinti toni from manuscript Becker II 51 a single theme, though the composition is clearly divided into three sections. The theme of the piece is introduced in the tenor voice, and is then passed between the other two parts. The first two sections differ in the counter motif used. In the third section the main theme is played in shorter note values.
The video features the original German organ tablature alongside the modern notation.
