Präludium und Fuge Des-Dur

Phew, that was a few days of screwing on my third work of the well-tempered organ, now the piece is finished. For the first time (and it had to come to this at some point) we are dealing with a rather distant key, D flat major.
So that the whole thing doesn't become too strenuous, this time there is a light dance piece as a prelude. My brother told me emphatically that for this opus, each piece has to sound a little different - no sooner said than done! So a cheerful gigue in (almost) baroque style makes the start.
In this spirit, it continues with the fugue. I sat down at my Kurzweil PC-88 and the theme of the fugue was born. It turned out at least as cheerful as the gigue. A theme that can be wonderfully counterpointed.

At the end, we hear the entire organ. Dietrich was pleased that I wanted to play the whole opus on his sample sets. For the distant keys, Iba and Lochtum fail, it sounds so awful that all your hair stands on end, no, well tempered these two instruments are not (although they can sound very beautiful as long as you don't press too many black keys).

A modern organ is used, the beautiful sample set of the organ at Obersuhl should be it.
I myself am very pleased with the overall result this time, and that's saying something, because normally I always struggle with my compositions.

This was also the case with op11No.2 in C minor (my last upload) .... here I simply worked with GO Hall, although the Kassel Niederzwehren sample was already recorded with reverb :-(

But what the heck - have fun now with this "cheerful" work!
