André Fleury (1903-1995) was a French composer and organist. A pupil of Gigout, Vierne and André Marchal, he obtained a First Prize at Paris Conservatoire in 1926, a year when Dupré had just been appointed a professor.
A renowned virtuoso, he was organist at St. Augustin in Paris, then at Dijon's Cathedral, and finally at St.Eustache in Paris with Jean Guillou.
"Prélude, Andante et Toccata" was written in 1932.
Like Vierne's 6th Symphony (1930), all three movements of Prélude, Andante et Toccata are based on a unique theme, in a cyclic form.
