Robert Hilf (1942–2015) — Offertoire (2014) for organ

American composer Robert Hilf (1942–2015) was educated in music at Duquesne University (BM and MM) and for more than 30 years pursued parallel careers as a financial advisor with Waddell & Reed while also serving as organist for various parishes in the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania). Early in his career he had been for eight years Director of Music, Liturgy, and Choral Activities at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. For the 1968–69 season, he was the organist for the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team. Upon his retirement from financial work in 2010, he returned to active composing again, opened a teaching studio, and published several collections of original music with World Library Publications.
