Carson Cooman, organ
German organist, church musician, and composer Christoph Bartusek (b. 1975) was born in Rheinberg and was educated at the University of Essen and the Folkwang University of Essen. He also studied theology in Münster. His organ teachers included Guido Knüsel, Sieglinde Ahrens, Hans-Eberhard Roß, and Frank Volke. After church posts in Duisburg, Dinslaken, Recklinghausen, and Münster, he returned to his hometown of Rhienberg to become the music for the parish of St. Peter. He has also been director of the concert series “Rheinberger Abendmusik.”
