Bagatelle

Naji Hakim is a Franco-Lebanese organist and composer. He succeeded Messiaen at La Trinité from 1993 to 2008.

Bagatelle is a joyful and exuberant piece , with many ostinatos alla Stravinsky. It's based on a Latvian folk tune and is dedicated to the organist Iveta Apkalna.

The score has, IMHO, a very beautiful cover (photo is attached) : "The Moon Boat", by the painter Ieva Krumina.

This is the first time I use Nancy because I now plan to upload on some sample sets I wrongly almost never use, ; it's a kind of a motivation to really discover them instead of letting them aside.
