Toccata on 'Antioch'

This is a high-energy, thrilling and short toccata from Craig Phillips, organist/composer at All Saints', Beverly Hills.

I personally enjoy many of Craig's works, both choral and organ, in part for his rhythmic energy but also for his distinctive harmonic treatments that are modern and "edgy", but only just enough to create musical tension and perhaps set his music apart from others'. This work in particular is really fun to play.

You can find this work in his collection "Joy To The World" from Selah Publishing; the first piece of the three is a nice setting of Divinum Mysterium, which I used this year for Christmas services and hope to upload shortly.
