Description: | The prelude in C major, L 5, is a bit intruiging. The first two bars are identiacal to the beginning of the prelude in C major, L 16a, from the same manuscript. After those two bar, both compositions follow their own, completely seperate ways. L 5 is a jolly affair, with lots of rapid notes for the left hand, while L 16a is more dignified and moves in a more stately rythm.
I find it intruiging that Seger creates two such very different pieces from one and the same musical idea. For no you have to take my word for it. Today I publish L5 and L16a is a bit further down the line, probably somewhere in the first months of 2023.
