1766 Riepp Dreifaltigkeits Organ, Ottobeuren, Germany
|
| Software: | Hauptwerk VII |
| Genre: | Romantic |
| Description: | The Dreifaltigkeits Organ, built by Karl Joseph Riepp, is one of those rare organs that can handle a lot of repertoire. So let's try this organ, sampled by OrganArt Media, with a beautiful silenced German romantic chorale prelude on the hymn 'Schmücke dich, o liebe Seele', composed by Gustav Merkel. Although romantic, the references to baroque chorale preludes are clear. The rich amount of 8' stops makes that certain German romantic repertoire does sound very good on this organ. |
