Johann Gottfried Walther worked as an organist in Weimar, almost a house further than his cousin Johann Sebastian Bach. Walther wrote the first music lexicon, a valuable source even today.
He arranged some Italian concerti, but composed his own stuff. The Concerto in G consists of several movements, with each movement contributing its part to the fluid whole.
