This piece, written by yours truly, has the intention of being very moving and solemn. Whether or not these goals are met, you may be the judge of that. Although I began writing it before this event, it serves as a fitting tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. It is based upon the hymn tune, "THAXTED," from Gustav Holst's "The Planets."
I performed this on the Marcussen organ of the Laurenskerk in Rotterdam, as sampled by Sonus Paradisi.
