20 years Organ Art Media -
congratulations, dear Helmut, and thank you for all your efforts to create your marvellous and beautiful samplesets, which are giving us joy and pleasure every day.
The Dreifaltigkeits-organ of Ottobeuren (D) is another valuable jewel in your amazing collection of historic organ sets and a wonderful gift for us as for OAM's jubilee. A honour to play!
The Riepp organs of Ottobeuren accompanied my musical life:
14 years old, I got my first LP with organ music in Ottobeuren.
20 years after, I got the chance to take part in a organ masterclass in Ottobeuren with Ton Koopman.
Again almost 20 years later, right now, I am able to play this unique organs at home - what a gift!
BWV 531 seems to be more like an improvised Toccata than a Praeludium, the early Bach (before 1708) shows us his keen abilities in playing and composing. The fugue theme with its repetitions and fanfare motivs is fitting very well into a big acoustics like Ottobeuren's Basilica. |
